Save Gaza cargo ship sails from Libya with aid for Gaza

The International Campaign to Save Gaza cargo ship leaves the Libyan port of Misrata today with a cargo of humanitarian aid bound for Gaza. The Freedom Flotilla Coalition appreciates the popular efforts in Libya, which resulted in this great achievement and were able to collect such large quantities of aid (1600 tons) for the Palestinians of Gaza

We hope that aid will reach Gaza as quickly as possible, and that this aid will play a role in strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinians of Gaza, and in providing them with part of the basic necessities of life.

We are also very pleased that civil society organizations in Lebanon and Algeria are doing their utmost to complete the procedures for the another aid ship carrying a 1000 tons of aid to set sail before the end of Ramadan.

Along with dozens of international NGOs, we continue to call for an permanent end to the siege and blockade of Gaza by land, sea and air. We call on all authorities to respect the International Court of Justice’s provisional measure ordering the unobstructed flow of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians of Gaza.
