Wendy Goldsmith

Wendy Goldsmith (Canada)

Wendy has been working in the field of social work for the past 35 years working with children, families, newcomers, survivors of abuse and women’s groups. She is currently an Advocate/Counsellor at the London Abused Women’s Centre and coordinates their anti-human trafficking initiatives.

She is a founding member of Canada Boat to Gaza and a member of the Steering Committee of the International Freedom Flotilla Campaign to end the illegal and inhumane blockade of Gaza. She was a participant in the 2016 Women’s Boat to Gaza campaign.

In her free time, Wendy often writes poetry to express her feelings about the state of the world. Wendy’s greatest accomplishment to date is being the proud mother of three wonderful children. For them, and for the generations to come, she carries on.

“Yes, I’m afraid, but I’m more afraid of not doing anything,” said Goldsmith.
