Human Rights Defenders Sailing in Solidarity Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) missions depend on a global network of dedicated volunteers. They each take an active stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, whose rights to safety, education, health care, and freedom of movement have been systematically denied by Israel’s illegal blockade and occupation for 17+ years.

Some FFC volunteers support on the ground in ports and cities, organizing logistics, building awareness, and connecting with media and communities. Others crew the boats or serve as human rights defenders onboard during segments of the voyage. Many more contribute through vital work such as:fundraising, outreach, education – all the time striving to amplify Palestinian voices. Most of our volunteers are, in fact, “volunteers on land”, supporting the mission by sharing our content and helping raise awareness within their own communities.

Since 2010 (and even since 2008 as the Free Gaza Movement), FFC has worked with a diverse coalition of human rights activists, including civil society leaders, union organizers, lawyers, doctors, nurses, journalists, faith leaders, parliamentarians, politicians, and other public figures. Their solidarity has helped draw international attention to our non-violent challenges against the blockade, despite the high likelihood of obstruction or violence by the Israeli military.

You can read more about some of our previous volunteers, including those on the 2016 Women’s Boat to Gaza, the 2018 Just Future for Palestine, and during our 2023-2024 For the Children of Gaza voyage.

If you would like to get involved, please reach out to your nearest FFC partner organization. We welcome your support in building solidarity, growing resistance, and amplifying the calls of Palestinians for justice and liberation.
