Hanna Bosselaers (Belgium)

I am Hanne, 42 years old, with an 8-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter. I am a general practitioner at Medics for the People in Molenbeek, Brussels. Together with my colleagues, I am committed to the fight for the right to health for all. In 2013, I worked in Gaza to twin our medical center with a primary healthcare center of the Palestinian NGO Awda.
My Palestinian colleagues and friends are deeply in my heart. Their resistance against the brutal Israeli occupation inspires me every day. Under the genocide in Gaza, my fellow healthcare workers are daily targets of Israel. Despite the indescribable violence, the risk of death, imprisonment, and torture, they continue to save lives and remain dedicated to their people. As a doctor, I cannot do anything but join the fight for their rights and those of the entire Palestinian people. That is why I am active in the movement for a free Palestine in Belgium, including with Healthworkers 4 Palestine. With the support of Medics for the People, I can now participate in the Flotilla to break the criminal blockade on Gaza and bring humanitarian aid there.
