Mohamed El Bakkali is a journalist with Al Jazeera, originally from Morocco and currently based in Paris. He holds a PhD in Sociology and a Master’s degree in International Relations.
Over the course of his career, Mohamed has reported on hundreds of major global events including wars, revolutions, and mass protests from the front lines and beyond. His coverage spans a wide array of political and social developments across the world.
In 2015, he participated in the Freedom Flotilla, a humanitarian mission to break the blockade on Gaza. He is currently part of the Handala Flotilla, a renewed international effort aimed at delivering aid and drawing attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
