Mr. Isa Maaroff is a Singaporean-born Malaysian who used to work with the Malaysian Oil and Gas industry until he retired for good 5 years ago. He is a strong supporter of the Palestinian struggle for freedom and has been to Gaza on a humanitarian mission with Aqsa Syarif (now MyCARE), a Malaysian-based organisation that is a member of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. He is affiliated with BDS Malaysia, a local chapter of the global BDS movement that calls for boycott, divestment and sanction/blockade of all companies and organisations related or supported the zionist entity. The BDS mission is to put pressure on zionist Israel to comply with international law , stop the occupation of Palestine, recognise its basic rights and respect the rights of the Palestinian people.
“The world is witnessing an unprecedented genocide committed against the Palestinian people by the zionist Israel and its allies with impunity. The blatant disregard of international laws and violation of human rights by the Israeli government, would not be acceptable by any standards anywhere. As a human being, I cannot afford to stand still on the sidelines watching the crime, committed against innocent and most vulnerable people – the women and children. I will strive to contribute in every means and efforts possible to raise awareness among the society at large and stand in solidarity with the Palestinians.”
