Jacob Berger is a 40 year old tv/film actor, viral content creator and Jewish-American activist very active in the Palestinian cause from New York City. Before becoming an actor in 2010, Jacob had been a mental health/substance abuse counselor with a LMSW from Columbia University. This social work background and his belief in social justice values is a big reason for why he has always used his platforms to advocate for social and political causes, especially once he started going viral for his sketch comedy videos in 2017, @jacobbergeractor.
When October 7th happened, Jacob took to social media to explain to people that what happened was not because they hated Jews, but because they have been persecuted and slaughtered by Israel since its inception in 1948. That Israel is not the victim here. He could see that Israel was going to use this event to justify a full blown genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza and knew as a Jewish-American with a large social media platform he had a duty and responsibility to step up and to loudly say not in our name!
Since Oct 2024, Jacob has been living between NYC and Egypt. A humanitarian trip in August 2024 to help displaced Palestinians truly opened his eyes on how he could best serve the cause. Jacob has become an important and very vocal figure in the movement via his over 3.5 million followers across platforms and is excited to take this step of sailing to break the immoral and illegal siege of Gaza by the terrorist state of Israel.
