Newcastle Handala

Thank you Newcastle – Handala Crew is Welcomed

Report from Newcastle friends:

Despite technical issues with the boat, we’ve tried to keep our message of solidarity and support for the children of Gaza.

It was great opportunity to meet the crew and participants from the boat, and to listen to an inspiring speeches on Sunday from great speakers.

On Monday morning, the “Women in Palestine” empowered many through meaningful discussions hearing from women in Gaza and from women on the boat.

On the evening the screening of “The Truth: Lost at Sea” at Tyneside Irish Centre was profoundly moving, with an enriching Q&A session with Director Rifat Audeh.

We especially thank all the volunteers who helped us. We also thank Stop the War and FOA in Newcastle, as well as the International Committee to Break the Siege on Gaza and the Freedom Flotilla Coalition.

As the Captain of Handala said: when we said hopefully see them next year they replied that no need as by next year Palestine will be free 🇵🇸🇵🇸
