Edward Digilio is a boat repair technician and peace activist from the United States. He is a member of the Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action which advocates for the abolition of nuclear weapons and has also served as a volunteer fundraiser and outreach coordinator for Emergency USA, an affiliate of the Italian NGO, Emergency, a provider of high-quality healthcare for people affected by war and poverty.
Edward joins the boat to Gaza in solidarity with the Palestinians who have endured decades of oppression and suffering. He is particularly concerned about the fate of young people in Gaza growing up in an environment where fundamental human rights have ceased to exist. Edward is committed to doing whatever he can to raise awareness of the situation in Palestine and to work toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
